I have a lot of thoughts I need to get down in written form. This is a self-motivational post to find the time to do just that in the next few weeks. Thoughts include:
things I've learned while planning and developing the OSF 2016 and Brain Power! stalls. There were a LOT of things I've learned over these months (mostly due to my ignorance), and it would be a waste for me not to share them, or at least shape them into a coherent form so that I can look back at them myself. There were many great ideas we tried to pursue for the stalls, but were not able to make happen for many reasons. In the future I'd like to look out for these ideas, and ensure they see the light of day.
inspired by the work and essays of Design Science, thoughts about how to apply design and design principles to science communication
ideas about visualisations and computational neuroscience, which is a complex field, but at the same time due to its inherent simplification of neuroscience, lends itself beautifully to science communication in visual/interactive forms
