New guest post on The Neurosphere

I wrote a piece about a cool paper in Nature Neuroscience a while ago. I finally got around to doing some final edits, and putting together some illustrations for extra snazz. I sent it off to my friend Sofia who runs her own popular neuroscience blog: The Neurosphere.

The paper is just awesome. Essentially, they implanted in mice a memory of a particular location being particularly lovely. The neat thing is that they did this while the mice slept, using a real-time monitoring setup where place cell replay would trigger medial forebrain bundle stimulation (inducing dopamine release). A bit something like Inception.
